Who Is Glen?

This is a very good question... something I will attempt to answer here.  Unlike Life, The Universe, and Everything, I cannot be summed up with a single answer such as 42...  So, I am going to attempt this a unique way; I am a product of my environment -- so seeing how I grew up will reveal a lot about me :-)
 
 

Background...

My name is Glen Anthony Graham. Yes, my initials are "GAG"- my parents once had a sense of humor! For some reason, they decided that all the male's initials should spell something. It started with my Dad, who is "DIG" -- so I guess we can blame my grandfather! My brothers are RAG and COG. Heaven forbid... if I am in a goofy mood and find myself trying to name a son, I may choose something crazy like "Samuel Lawrence Ulysses Graham" - SLUG!

I was born March 22nd, 1969 - a chilly afternoon in Lawrenceville, Illinois.  I am the youngest of 5: Carl is 33 and a lawyer in the JAG corps. Ralph is 38 and writes software to launch rockets... does that make him a Rocket Scientist? :-) Crystal is 40 and does computer training. Ron is 47 and is setting up a travel service, specializing in "off the beaten track".

I'm half Norwegian, and 1/4 Scottish and Irish.

We moved to Litchfield, Michigan, when I was quite young, and then onto Evanston, Illinois (outside Chicago) when I was 5. It was here I started school- Kindergarten and the first 2 weeks of 1st grade when our family was transferred to Egypt...
